We serve the kids in the middle—the kids who have much to learn and give, and supportive parents with limited resources to help them explore their potential. There are more than 88,000 youth under the age of 17 in Harlem. The Harbor serves 1,300 annually, and aim to fill the Heckscher building, the home of the Harbor, with kids in the middle.
The Harbor is a place in Harlem where young minds see a future for themselves and a world they never imagined—enabled by best in class education, energized by the performing arts, and made tangible through experiences.
We help kids develop their inherent gifts and intellectual character by exposing them to experiences that will allow them to discover their potential.
The Harbor wants kids to know where they live—the greatest city in the world with amazing resources. And through that lens, claim the world.
Your generosity will do more than fund things… books, computer labs, classroom materials; than fund people… talented educators and teaching artists in our classrooms and studios every day. These are important resources. But your commitment will do more.
Your support will help a Harbor student see the view.
Join other Harbor donors in making an Anniversary Pledge to help us raise $3.5M to build a financial foundation for our future. Every gift makes an impact.
Help us create a “sightline” to the future.
