A teaching artist at the Conservatory for several years, Shadia is proud to coordinate the Vocal Program. As an educator, she has been affiliated with the Metropolitan Opera Guild and the Raul Julia Training Unit. Her work as a performer includes companies in New York City, such as Pregones Theater, Repertorio Español, Teatro LATEA, and SEA. Shadia is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico and the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico. She has a master’s of music from Mannes College, the New School for music.
Vocal Music Program Coordinator
Kevin Kennison is an independent casting director, freelance director, master acting teacher, coach, and career consultant. He has an extensive background in performing, directing, producing, and teaching. Based in New York and Los Angeles, he has cast for Broadway, national and international tours, ABC/Disney, Reality Television, The Learning Channel, TRU-TV, Feature and Independent Films, theatre, and film festivals. Kevin has been a faculty member of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, The University of Oregon, Brooklyn College, SUNY Oswego, and many New York professional acting studios including the Atlantic Theatre Company, CAP 21 Musical Theatre program, and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. He works with many high school and college theatre programs across the country as a guest artist, program curriculum and workshop designer, master teacher, guest director, and showcase producer. Kevin holds an MFA from CUNY Brooklyn College and is ABD PhD from NYU. AEA, SAG-AFTRA.
