Privacy Policy

Boys & Girls Harbor, Inc. Privacy Policy Boys & Girls Harbor is committed to maintaining the privacy of our Website visitors and donors and to maintaining the confidentiality of their personal information. We have created this Privacy Policy to explain why we collect particular information and how we will protect your personal privacy on our Website. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for the Website, located at the URL www.theharbor.org.

In order to fully understand your rights, we encourage you to read this Privacy Policy. Boys & Girls Harbor reserves the right at any time and without notice to change this Privacy Policy simply by posting such changes on our site. Any such change will be effective immediately upon posting.

Disclosure of Your Personal Information:

We respect your privacy, and it is our policy that personal information provided to Boys & Girls Harbor will not be shared outside of the Harbor without our donor's expressed consent.

Personal information is solely utilized to process and receive donations, register attendance at an event or meeting, or to respond to information requests from Website visitors and donors. Donor anonymity will be respected if requested and where applicable. Upon request, Boys & Girls Harbor gives Website visitors and donors full access to its information and will maintain its accuracy according to their individual instructions. Boys & Girls Harbor does not sell, rent, or trade consumer mailing lists.

What Information We Collect and How We Use That Information:

Unless you specify that a gift be “anonymous” or otherwise request that your name not be listed, we list the names of donors who give to our 75th Anniversary Campaign on our Website, in some brochures, and benefit programs to recognize the generosity of those who have given to our cause. We do not sell our donor lists to anyone.

Boys & Girls Harbor strives to keep donors informed about how donations are used and their importance for continuing our programs. We send several e-blasts and mailings each year to accomplish this and include a donation reply card to invite financial support. Most Boys & Girls Harbor supporters want to receive all of our mailings and newsletters. However, you may opt out of any and all mailings.

Aggregate Data:

In general, we automatically gather certain usage information, such as the number and frequency of visitors to this site. Visitor logs are used on this site for statistical purposes only. Boys & Girls Harbor may automatically receive and record information on our server logs from a Website visitor’s or donor’s browser, which may include their IP address, session time, click path analysis, and pages requested. We use such data only in the aggregate. This collective data helps us determine how much our visitors use parts of the site and to do internal research on our users’ demographics, interests, and behavior to better understand and serve you.
